You can get connected to God!

The Bible tells you how...
  • You are disconnected from God because of sin.
The Scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin. (Galatians 3:22)
When Adam sinned, sin entered the entire human race. Adam’s sin brought death, so death spread to everyone, for everyone sinned. (Romans 5:12)
If we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us. (1 John 1:8)

  • God loves you and wants to connect with you.
For God so loved the world that He gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16)
For God decided to save us through our Lord Jesus Christ, not to pour out His anger on us. He died for us so that we can live with Him forever. (1 Thessalonians 5:9-10)
Jesus said, “I, the Son of Man, have come to seek and save those who are lost.” (Luke 19:10)
  • Jesus will take away your sin so you can be connected to God.
And just as it is destined that each person dies only once and after that comes judgment, so also Christ died only once as a sacrifice to take away the sins of many people. (Hebrews 9:27-28)
For God in all His fullness was pleased to live in Christ, and by Him God reconciled everything to Himself. He made peace with everything in heaven and on earth by means of His blood on the cross. This includes you who were once so far away from God. You were His enemies, separated from Him by your evil thoughts and actions, yet now He has brought you back as His friends. He has done this through His death on the cross in His own human body. As a result, He has brought you into the very presence of God, and you are holy and blameless as you stand before Him without a single fault. (Colossians 1:19-22)
All this newness of life is from God, who brought us back to Himself through what Christ did. (2 Corinthians 5:18)

  • To get connected, you must repent of your sin.
Jesus said, “And you will also perish unless you turn from your evil ways and turn to God…I tell you again that unless you repent, you will also perish.” (Luke 13:3, 5)
For Jesus is the one. There is salvation in no one else! There is no other name in all of heaven for people to call on to save them. (Acts 4:11-12)
And anyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. (Acts 2:21)
Now turn from your sins and turn to God, so you can be cleansed of your sins. (Acts 3:19)

  • To get connected, you must confess your belief in Jesus Christ as Lord.
For if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved. (Romans 10:9-10)

  • REMEMBER, getting connected to God is a free gift God offers you. Just accept it by faith.
God saved you by His special favor called grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so that we can do the good things He planned for us long ago. (Ephesians 2:8-10)
