Bayou Du Large Baptist Church
Bayou DuLarge Baptist Church - Calvary's sister church in Louisiana - is located in Theriot.  This is an area that was hit by the hurricanes a few years ago.  Calvary has been going down two times a year to help in the rebuilding process of the church and homes.  The job is not done.

Quote from Pastor Jerry Moser:  Over the years I have found that the most effective method I have of helping people open up to consider the Gospel is to first help them with some major need.  Usually this is some physical need like repairing their house after a hurricane or ministry when someone is ill or when a family member dies, etc.  Something that makes the Gospel attractive is for God's people to visibley help God's people.  When  christians help to meet the needs of their fellow Christians, God makes sure to highlight this to those who are not yet Christians.  A church full of people acting like the family they are and living out real concern for each other is quite atractive in this world where people are often too busy or too self-centered to help their neighbors.

Pray for this group of people in Louisiana for safety as they strive to make a living in an area that is affected by the hurricanes each year.
