Greetings –
My name is George Wood, and I currently chair the Deacon Board. I have served on the Deacon Board since 1997. The Deacon Board is charged with directing the business activities of the Church. We maintain the facilities, manage the staff, and establish and monitor the financial budget of the Church.
I have been a Wisconsin resident since 1970. I grew up in a Christian home and made my personal decision to accept Christ at summer camp in 1977. I have been attending Calvary since 1991.
My wife and I are the proud parents of two wonderful boys. I currently support my family and church as the Information Systems Technical Director for the largest mail-order footwear company in the United States. I am able to bring that corporate experience directly to CBC in the role of Deacon.
As a hobby I enjoy woodworking and percussion. You can find me worshiping behind the drum set on most Sundays at CBC.
I have adopted Romans 13:12 as an inspiration to my activities: "The night is far spent, and the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light."
